The Context Journal of language, literary and cultural studies is published quarterly in open access domain online by Magnus Publishing. Thus the Journal is free to read and there are no subscription charges for readers.
To keep the journal and its mechanism operational solely on native funds put certain limitations on us and because of that we have to levy publication fee on contributing authors. For contributing authors and their host institutions are the direct beneficiaries of publication in an academic research journal.
Article processing charge include charges towards manuscript originality check software fee, copy editing, formatting, industry leading server hosting and digital preservation and 24/7 availability of published content online.
Authors have to pay article processing fee and sign Copyright Agreement after the submitted manuscript has been reviewed and accepted for publication. Only one co-author is permissible (no extra charges for co-author). Accepted manuscript author(s) have to pay the fees within five (5) working days from the intimation of acceptance. If fees not received within stipulated time, publication of the issue will proceed as scheduled.
We have revised the publication fee structure in order to facilitate worldwide manuscript submissions and charge contributing author(s) on the basis of his / her country's income level as classified by the World Bank. Please see the full list here.

You can send the fee by using PayPal or a credit/debit card by submitting payment through www.paypal.com to our Treasurer Rekha Pund. Please note that, because of charges we incur through this form of payment, it costs USD 1.5 extra to receive the fee in this way. When in PayPal please enter your name in ‘Special instructions to the seller’ so we can identify from whom the payment comes. For direct cash deposit in the bank please add INR 100 / USD 2 extra towards inter-branch fee. After making payment you are recommended to email us with the date and transaction number of payment.
Refunds will be made in the same form that the payment is received within ten working days from the date of cancellation requisition ONLY on valid grounds. We do not levy any processing charges but the processing charges that we will incur on payment gateways will be deducted from the refund amount.
